Firstly a big thankyou to all the club members who helped to make the Dennis Motorsport First Epynt Hillclimb a success! We ended up with a respectable entry with a fantastic variety of cars.

Of the local crews all finished apart from event sponsor Brian Dennis who damaged his clutch. Phil Jones gave his 1 litre Nissan Micra an airing and did well to stay in close touch with the more powerful cars in his class. Phil's son Craig drove the wheels off his Peugeot and improved all day. Mike Jones had to get used to competing in daylight and without a navigator and enjoyed his day despite a smoking motor at the end.

In the up to 2 litre production class Wayne Palmer was pipped to the class win but put on a good show while late entrant Peter Chappelle borrowed Zoe's Celica and improved especially once the tyre pressures were sorted out!

Gary Williams made his hillclimbing debut in the import Subaru and performed well in a class full of big horse power motors.

In the modified up to 1600cc class Will Arrowsmith was out for fun and improved on every run with no chance of matching the other exotic machinery present.

In the rally car classes Alwyn Arrowsmith wheeled out his immaculate Mk2 and looked to be having a good days fun while Brian Robbins borrowed ABX from Brian Dennis and promply won his class!

We plan on organising some more next year, maybe even two.............
