PEMBREY & BRO CARON
Monday, 25 February 2008
Not the very best of weeks for BMC crews, last weekend Craig Jones & Peter Chappelle went to Pembrey with the 205 and lasted precisely 200 metres before breaking a shaft. With a new one fitted they made another 100 metres before stopping with the same problem. The race is now on to get the car ready for Epynt, a new subframe & shafts at the ready.
On this weekends Rali Bro Caron WAMC Class 2 champions Mike Jones & Robin Moses overcame severe brake problems to finish 31st overall in the new blue Pug. Will Arrowsmith & Matthew Farr fared badly with firstly a slipping clutch which they had to stop to adjust and then a misfire which looks as if it's come from a failed head gasket. So that's another race against time but for the Gremlin!!!!
Autosolo
Sunday, 17 February 2008
Brecon Motor Club will be running a series of five autosolos this year. They will be based on the Epynt ranges at the Concrete Road. To get there take the B4520 to Builth Wells from Brecon and you will find it on your left about 2 miles the other side of Upper Chapel.
It will be open to club members and a limited number of invited clubs. These at present are Ecurie Cymraeg and Epynt MC. The entry fee will be £15 per car and there will be various classes. Standard or modified cars can be used as per Blue Book regulations but vehicles must be fully road legal. Brecon MC members will be able to compete in a championship but invited club members will not be able to score points.
First event will take place at 12 o'clock midday on Sunday April 6th.
